Ian Hatcher (he/they) is a text/sound/code/live artist whose work addresses language and technological power.

He is the author of a poetry collection, Prosthesis, as well as chapbooks, records, websites, generative poetry apps, and other ephemera. On stages, he performs parafictional lectures, reads sound poetry, and plays synth in the band SLZY MYLFS. His work has been presented at Pioneer Works, The Kitchen, the Poetry Project, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, in public libraries in Denmark and Norway, live on Russian TV, and in countless bookstores, bars, and basements.

A former Fulbright Scholar, as of 2025 he teaches in the graduate program at MassArt and is a doctoral candidate at CU Boulder.
